Hope was associate editor, managing editor, and finally, editor-in-chief of Bay Area BusinessWoman News, an online and print newspaper serving the 5-county San Francisco Bay Area. She chose and assigned articles, columns, and essays; edited all editorial submissions and wrote headlines and subheads; and was responsible for expandind the op-eds page; creating the Woman2Woman personal essay feature; creating the WonderWomen column, which profiles exceptional women in commerce, community, and the arts; and creating and writing the Off the Reel and Off the Shelf columns. She also wrote and edited the monthly Editor’s and Publisher’s Notes.
